Welcome to the historic Davos

Home of Winter Sports

Established as a mountain health resort, Davos now hosts largest ski resorts and international winter sports tournaments.

Spanning 269 km of slopes across six varied mountains, Davos Klosters is a winter metropolis of contrasts. It blends the urban energy of Davos—Europe’s highest city—with the discreet, traditional charm of Klosters. The skiing is equally diverse: carve the legendary 12km runs on Parsenn, launch into Jakobshorn’s freestyle parks, or explore the ungroomed freeride paradise of Pischa. From family-friendly Madrisa to high-alpine steeps, this arena delivers a complete alpine experience for every level.

Let’s find you the perfect on snow experience in Davos

Why choose FIL Alpin over a traditional ski school in Davos?

Navigating Davos Klosters can be daunting; it is not just one ski hill but a sprawling network of six separate mountain areas connected by a complex system of buses and trains. While traditional ski schools often station themselves on just one mountain—forcing you to adhere to their location and rigid timetables—FIL Alpin provides a seamless, "ski safari" experience. We manage the logistics entirely, picking you up at your hotel and transporting you to the specific mountain where conditions are best that day, whether it’s the high-altitude powder on Parsenn or the sunny slopes of Madrisa.

Beyond logistics, hiring a private FIL Alpin professional means having a local insider who helps you bypass the crowds. Davos is a busy international hub, but we know the shortcuts, the quietest lifts, and the hidden mountain huts that require reservations weeks in advance. Instead of standing in line or eating at a crowded self-service cafeteria with a large group, you enjoy a curated luxury experience where every minute is optimized for skiing and enjoyment, tailored strictly to your pace.

How are the ski areas in Davos and Klosters connected?

Unlike interconnected resorts like Arosa-Lenzerheide, the six mountains of Davos Klosters (Parsenn, Jakobshorn, Pischa, Rinerhorn, Madrisa, Schatzalp) are geographically separate. They are connected by a highly efficient network of ski buses and the Rhätische Bahn (RhB) train, both of which are free to use with a valid skipass. This makes having a knowledgeable guide essential to navigate between them efficiently.

Is Klosters better than Davos for accommodation?

It depends on the vibe you prefer. Choose Davos if you want convenience, shopping, casinos, and a lively urban atmosphere with varied nightlife. Choose Klosters if you prefer a quiet, romantic, chalet-style village with discreet luxury and a more traditional alpine feeling. Both offer equal access to the skiing.

Is Davos suitable for beginners?

Yes, but you need to know where to go. While the famous Parsenn runs can be long and demanding, the Madrisa (Klosters) and Rinerhorn areas are excellent for families and beginners. Furthermore, the valley floor offers extensive gentle slopes for first-timers. A private instructor ensures you start on terrain that builds confidence rather than fear.

Do you offer off-piste guiding in Davos?

Yes. Davos Klosters is famous for its classic off-piste runs, such as the descent from the Weissfluhgipfel or the sidecountry of Jakobshorn. Our team includes certified mountain guides who can safely lead you into this terrain, providing avalanche safety and expert instruction on powder technique.
