Welcome to the popular Klosters

Alpine Charm & Royal Tradition

While it shares the massive Davos Klosters ski domain, Klosters feels a world away from its urban neighbor. This picture-perfect village of traditional wooden chalets is famous for its discreet luxury and “Hollywood on the Rocks” reputation, having long been a favorite of British royalty. The skiing is superb: the Gotschnabahn whisks you directly into the legendary Parsenn area, while the sunny Madrisa mountain is a dedicated paradise for families and children. Whether tackling the steep “Gotschna Wang” or enjoying a carriage ride in the valley, Klosters offers a sophisticated, timeless winter escape.

Why choose FIL Alpin over a traditional ski school in Klosters?

Klosters is synonymous with privacy and discreet luxury, and your ski instruction should reflect that. Unlike traditional ski schools that operate out of crowded meeting points at the bottom of the Gotschna or Madrisa lifts, FIL Alpin offers a strictly private, door-to-slope service. We understand the value of your time, meeting you directly at your chalet or hotel to bypass the morning rush. Even if you are staying in Davos, we can meet you at your hotel there and organize private transport directly to the Klosters ski area, ensuring a seamless, stress-free start to your day without the hassle of public trains or buses.

Furthermore, the logistics of skiing here can be tricky for families. With the challenging runs of Parsenn on one side and the family-friendly Madrisa on the other, splitting up can be a headache. A private FIL Alpin professional acts as your family’s logistics manager. We can arrange for the children to ski safely on Madrisa while guiding the adults down the famous runs to Küblis, coordinating perfectly to meet for a late lunch at a cozy farmhouse restaurant like the Alte Schwendi. We curate the day to ensure you experience the village’s famous charm without the stress of checking maps or schedules.

Where are your meeting points in Klosters?

We make it easy for you! We define the meeting point together based on what works best for your day.

We're happy to offer a complimentary "Meet & Greet" right at your hotel, or we can simply meet you directly on the slope if that’s your preference!

We also serve guests in Davos!

Is Klosters connected to the Davos ski area?

Yes, seamlessly. The Gotschna cable car in the center of Klosters connects you directly to the Parsenn, the largest ski area in the region. From there, you can ski all the way to Davos or take the legendary 12km run down to Küblis and return by train. You also have access to all other Davos mountains (Jakobshorn, Pischa, Rinerhorn) via the train.

Is Klosters good for families and beginners?

Klosters is exceptional for families thanks to the Madrisa mountain. Facing south and bathed in sun, Madrisa is dedicated to children and relaxed skiers, featuring the "Madrisa Land" adventure park. It is separate from the busy main ski area, providing a safe and stress-free environment for learning.

What is the Gotschna Wang?

The Gotschna Wang is one of the most famous and feared black runs in the region. It is a steep, often mogul-filled face directly under the cable car leading down to Klosters. It is a rite of passage for expert skiers, but should only be attempted by confident skiers with good technique.

What is the difference between Klosters Platz and Klosters Dorf?

Klosters Platz is the main hub with the Gotschna lift, the train station, and most luxury hotels and shops. Klosters Dorf is quieter, located slightly further down the valley, and is the base for the Madrisa gondola. They are connected by a quick bus or train ride.

Do you offer off-piste guiding in Klosters?

Yes. Beyond the groomed slopes, Klosters offers incredible freeride terrain. Our guides can take you into the "Sidecountry" of the Gotschna, the hidden powder fields of Madrisa, or the classic long descents towards the Prättigau valley, always prioritizing safety and avalanche awareness.

We are a family/group with mixed skiing abilities. Can we book separate instructors?

Absolutely! Whether you're a big family, multiple families or simply a group of friends with varying skill levels, we can arrange for multiple, dedicated instructors to ensure everyone gets the attention they need for an unforgettable day.

What languages do you speak?
